Confused?!?

I've been
cast aside, thrown out, put out to pasture, tossed, made redundant, dropped, erased, cut, removed,
to be
a memory, rubbish, old, a caricature, a thorn, faded, minimalized, hated, replaced, useless,
forgotten

Ice cream on my shoe

As I got off the elevator in my building early this morning, I looked down and saw that I had ice cream on my shoe. How did it get there you might ask......well, I had the best ice cream yesterday (vanilla and ginger) and the ice cream gods were not on my side; always get a cup not a cone. As I wandered around the market taking in all the vibrant sights and sounds Pedestrian Sunday had to offer, my lovely ice cream melted. There was too much to see and hear to pay attention to my cone full of creamy goodness; reggae and drum bands, bag pipes, blue grass and ballroom dancing. There was a sidewalk full of chalk love notes. We could wander aimlessly from sight to sound without the threat of being run down by a car and my ice cream suffered; drips landing on me, my love note and my shoe. Life should always be like this. However, before the ice cream there was breakdancing. The moves, the skill, the music and the energy, it was incredible! After the festivities died down we went for a drink at our usual place where they now have Fruli! Yummy strawberry intoxication! After many Fruli, many trips to the pee depository and as always great conversation, we made our way home through the flashes of lightening. Ah another perfect Sunday, oh how I love you.
Oh and I talked to strangers............shhhhhhhh.
